@dens228 That raccoon probably thought something flew into its face too. Well it did, but unless it heard sound from your air rifle it may not have known what it was that touched it. Better to miss clean than to maim. By the way, that was a big, burly, bear-looking raccoon man. Damn!! Or do you think that that the zoom made it appear larger than it actually was?

No, we get some rather large raccoons around here. I'm pretty much the only predator regarding them.
