Beeman I couldn't resist 🤪

Was literally only listed for minutes!
I've been looking for the right one forever in factory carbine .20! And low and behold it popped up the other day on eBay. Scheduled for delivery tomorrow and I already have a JM medium power .135 wire kit and piston seal ready to go!
Supposedly it's never been opened up and a safe queen so I'm pumped to get her in my hands! Will definitely be posting some better pics when she arrives!

Nice score! A true classic! I have a Santa Rosa R1 .20 standard length. With a JM “Mongoose 80” kit. To say it is awesome is an understatement.

I also have a JM 12 ft/lb spring I put in for a for a little while. But for a gun this size, I really like keeping it at full power. Especially with one of JM ‘s full power kits.

Great gun. Nice find. Congrats
Thanks man 👍
Now if it ever gets here. Seems to be kinda lost in traffic! Somehow got delivered to Indianapolis hub twice in the last couple days 🤪 now tracking just says arriving late. I know these things just happen but it's frustrating! This is why I only use UPS anymore.

I'm trying that mid power kit to start with.
I'm hoping for around 16fpe or so.

Shoot for 15 ft lbs with a snug piston seal and you will like it much better. In .20 seems anything that gets over 800 gets sensitive ..
Is that right? Exact .20 cals (13.73gr.) produce 19.5 fpe at 800 fps. To get down to 15 fpe, the Exacts should do only 700 fps. At 800 fps the pellets would need to weigh only 10.6gr. to keep at 15 fpe.

So, do you recommend taking the HW80 .20 cal all the way down to 700 fps, to a HW95 level?

I have that kit. It's been in and out of my R1 a few times in three calibers. It shoots nicely. You'll get 16-17 in 20 cal depending on what seal you use. It's never touched 18 fpe even in 22 which naturally makes more power. It's a good kit for a mid power 80/R1.
Hth.

Be well

H&N ftt 11.4 @ 780 ish will get you 15 ft lbs. give or take. jsb pellets are to soft of skirt for most guns over 12 ft lbs springer power plant. Many people blow the skirts out wondering why their guns not accurate. Especially with HW TIGHT chokes.

Recommend …. Nope… You can shoot them at what ever power you desire. They shoot their best at middle ground .. small pellets going fast are sensitive .. Most springers shoot at the 775 to 800 fps mark the best.
Heavier the pellet more piston bounce or recoil. YMMV …

Update!
Well I'm not panicking yet but it's been delivered 3 different times to the Indianapolis distribution center in last 4 days! Seems to be kinda lost 😕 had this happen a couple years ago with a crow magnum and wasn't good in the end!
Fingers crossed 🤞 for this time!
Gosh that’s frustrating I’ve been through that hang in there
