I don't like these skunks either

The skunk comes by quite often and cleans out my coon feeder. So I made the spout 30 mm longer hopefully that stops it. However today the skunk came by and got some food out but I don't think he cleaned it out. Hard for it to reach that far down. I refrain from shooting it because I don't want to stink up my backyard if I don't make a good shot or just unlucky.

The skunk will never leave unless its food source is eliminated. You'll have to kill it.
I have shot them in the past. Twice it smelled up the backyard. Once it was so bad neighbors over 200' away at 2am start looking out the window wondering where the smell is coming from. My wife was so pissed she was mad for more then a week! I don't want to risk a sink bomb. Shooting it is the easy part. Ensuring 100% that is doesn't spray is the hard part. Even if I get luckly going for a heart/lung shot, I would have to search around the bushes trying to find the body before it decays and stinks up the neighborhood.

Then you only have one option: Eliminate their food source.
Do I get it right that you're feeding raccoons? That's another potential issue, but your choice. Hope it works out for you.

I just checked the coon feeder the skunk ate about 1/2 the food. I will add another inch to the spout that should stop the skunks from eating, but still allow the coons to get to eat the main course, after which I will give them their final dessert of Pb!

That's why I don't recommend coon cuffs unless you want to deal with a skunk stuck in one.

If you must keep the food source there, then live catch it in a trap. Go out, cover with a blanket. Dont try to sneak up on it. Their eyesight isnt great, but their hearing is excellent. Just talk as you go up to it, gently put a blanket or towel over the live catch cage and relocate it. I've trapped quite a few in this way and have never had one spray.

I'm beginning to wonder if all animals really want is an acknowledgement of their existence, if not to put them at ease, at least to keep them in the negotiation phase and not the nuclear one. The "don't tread on me" rattlesnake shake comes to mind (not the Gadsen flag, blessed be). I keep bees and if I make a happy buzzing noise when I play around their hive they don't sting me; they don't even bump me. Hmm...

Perhaps...haha But with skunks it's simply a matter of logic. Their eyesight is poor. By talking to them, you arent startling them further when caged. But we've all heard the saying that 'music soothes the savage beast'. Perhaps there is something to that.
At least in my experience the trap/talk/cover relocate has been 100% opposed to shooting them, which has also been 100% for me, but 100% of the time with them spraying.

In any case, I think the only singing I would do if ever faced with a grizzly bear would be the chorus of me shtting myself!
