You replaced both springs? Maybe that's why, I ahd only replaced the hammer spring. I'll replace the valve spring today.I put a tune kit in mine and it is great. More consistent and larger shot count.
I hated the bullpup look.
Then I got a couple and it’s kind of all I want now.
Did you put the valve spring in there yet?You replaced both springs? Maybe that's why, I ahd only replaced the hammer spring. I'll replace the valve spring today.
This is reason why myself and Darko brought the .177 and .22 upgraded mags to market.Yes, replaced both springs.
Also, make sure not to cock it with the rifle pointed upwards. I had a major clean up problem after about 4 - 6 pellets dropped out of the magazine into the hammer area. It is a design flaw in the magazine or the action. Not sure which. But, in the right circumstances, a pellet will drop out of the magazine and into the hammer area. You will not know it until you fire and no pellet comes out and the power drops. I could not figure out what happened, but Airgun Revisions got me going. I was going to send it to them, but they were very helpful in describing what the problem probably was.
Where did you get yours from? Id like to get another.Got my Akela last night. My first bullpup and 177 in a PCP. I shoot left handed but I dont believe the cocking lever is going to bother me. The shroud though seems like it could use a barrel band. It is easily flexed. I got a very nice stock on this I'm quit happy. Will be scoping it up today and hopefully shooting it some. Trigger measures 1.25 lb's.

This is something that is particularly true of hammerless semi-autos like the Huben K1, Sidewinder or Rattler. They are essentially revolvers and the blowby they have around the magazine is much noisier than designs that use a bolt or probe to load the pellets and as you point out, that noise is right next to your ear. I think this also makes them seem louder to the shooter than they are to others since the shooter has his ear right up next to the cylinder. Not to be a contrarian, but I'll mention one thing for consideration relative to bullpups. Your ear is much closer to the TP and chamber of the barrel, so the loudest sound is closer to you. I'm maybe overly sensitive to this issue, because I have lost most of my hearing, and largely shooting related. So, if you don't routinely use hearing protection with your air rifles, you might want to consider it with a bullpup. Lost hearing cannot be restored.
She’s a beaut ! Look at that wood grain. ExcellentGot my Akela last night. My first bullpup and 177 in a PCP. I shoot left handed but I dont believe the cocking lever is going to bother me.
