I forget how lucky I am / My first outing with the Uragan 2

I Got a chance to shoot at a friend's property today.
I had not been there before, but he had told me it would be OK to shoot & that they hunted Axis deer there often.

I was not prepared for how beautiful it was.

The gun shot well with the majority of the slugs I was shooting.
I spent the day working my way through a dozen or so types & weights.
The standouts were from 54 to 65gn.
NSA 54.5 @ 980ish
61.5 and 65.5 Traveling around 900 & 860fps.
And the H&N hp 54gn going 980- 20230520_120419.jpg

990.
Uragan 2- 300bar- 700cc CF tank-
Reg @ 190

I often get stressed out with the world and caught up in life in general -

Not today.

Wow.
Beautiful area 🙌
It takes a lot for me to just chill and do something.
Particularly shooting.
I didn't even put up a target, I just shot the steel.
It was a bit of a walk up and down the hill there. It was 80y(ish According to my rangefinder)
Most of the slugs hit the plates
So I was happy with the "groups" on the spray painted plates.
I used my new talon tunes CF bipod for the first time.
It was kinda a screwy set up.
The grass was a tad to high for my accutac bipod.

You have a good woman my friend!
I can't believe it's almost half gone by already (2023).
Crazy how when you put your head down to work-
then you look up.. it's summer again!

Beautiful land to shoot at! I purchased 2 sets of leg extensions for my Accu-Tac bipod for field use, adds about 2 extra feet of height FYI.
@Ranchibi,
I did also look at the leg extensions before I ordered my tripod, but I thought I would try something else, and I already was ordering from tony@talon tunes so I tried the CF Tripod. He has some nice bipods as well.
My accutac is very heavy (FC5 gen.2) the tripod is crazy lightweight.
It's nice and solid with a bag, I just had it set up kinda screwy because of the tall grass and all.
That particular tripod likes to prone out all the way to be stable.
I gotta say though, the accutac is as stable as I have found so far.

Mean view from up dea!!

Choke deer too.
Droughts been bringing em down more makai even with the little bit of rain we had.
Kihei looks baked down in town.
Day was awesome, no wind from 11-4 when I stopped shooting.
I go in haiku as well, but the wind in the gulch this time a year is a mean bugga, so I'm calling in the prior offers people made earlier ☺️
