That might be easy for you in USA, but for us in SA and other countries it is a different story. To buy a equivalent of $500 pcp here is the same expense in relation for you to buy a $2500 - $3000 pcp in USA. I would not mind having the same cost relative to income as you do but it is what it is.
And where are most smartphones actually made? I did ask that somewhere else before. Just go to your kitchen and look at the appliances. How many of those came out of China and people are happy to buy and use it.
Why turn it into the above? There’s room for the Chincom PCPs here, no one is trying to exclude them. Shoot what you like and can afford…
Again buy what you like, I fail to see how the above relates to the OP? You like the Chinese stuff and feel its as good? Then whats the beef? Use them and be happy. I like my BRKs, am happy, and don’t give a hoot what others might or might not shoot…
I see your point but it’s more about choice. I’m typing on my iPad because it’s the best thing for what I like to do. Doesn’t matter where it’s made. If my iPhone or iPad was a work in progress like most chinaguns, I wouldn’t buy them. China has the capabilities to produce a top tier gun, but it will have a top tier price. The hypocrisy that aggravates you would then fade but everyone’s wallet would be lighter. It wouldn’t have mattered where my Snowpeak was made. Even if it was made in Germany, it would still be junk. But it wasn’t.
Well if you’re a Harley guy then you have almost certainly been skinned. But think about it. It’s worth it because they are what you like. Airguns are no different. If you’re worried about being skinned, wrong hobby. None of these toys are worth what we pay for them. Even the junkers.
Harley's no longer hold their value like they used too......Too many well built motorcycles today are taking up sales. Also, we boomers are the only one's buying cruisers and touring bikes. Not many boomers left purchasing motorcycles. The kids want Sport Tour or Adventure Tour bikes....
Same here, but it has been a long time since I could find a steak worth buying to grill at home at a price I'm willing to pay. I do know two places that have good looking beef in limited quantities, but 32 a pound is too much. Literally going on near two decades since I've had an actual top steak, I get bye on specials now and then from harris teeter's "premium" stuff which at least has no additives/water/preservatives in it. For several years I'd splurge 3 or 4 times a month and get one at a hole in the wall gas station/butcher/home grown vegatable place, then one day the big equipment showed up. A few months later they re-opened, big gas station, meat department 3 times the size, vegetables department 5 times the size, lots of stuff added, probably 10 times more square footage, and prices doubled/quality went down, and their business is thriving. Lost me as a customer, went bye just a couple months ago since I was in the area, prices near 50% higher than the "premium stuff" at harris teeter, 27 dollar/lb ribeye and they did not look any better than standard fare at a food lion. Boggled my mind how crowded they were, still living of their old reputation. People are stupid.
