Bad news first. I used the AGNATION code a couple of weeks ago to order a Benjamin Kratos .22 from Crosman. The code worked fine, but what I received was a .25 caliber Kratos with the palest, driest piece of walnut I’ve ever seen on a rifle. It was practically blonde, and very unattractive besides being the wrong caliber. I have to honestly say, if the wood had been more pleasing I might well have kept it. There hasn’t been a .25 air rifle in my hands in over twenty years, and it is an intriguing choice especially in a PCP.
Ah, but what of the good news? Well, it took exactly a week, but Crosman had my replacement Kratos delivered with minimal muss and fuss. And this time I won the walnut lottery! My stock is still a little dry, which I intend to remedy with Howard Citrus Shield, but the color and figure is much, much nicer, very rich in appearance. It’s definitely a keeper!
