Could have been a bent shoe, bent cocking arm. Nothing else comes to mind at the moment. My 97K was getting progressively harder to latch. At the same time it was not consistantly engaging the saftey. I sent it back under warentee, but was curious as to what may have failed.
Very nice rifle. Pretty snappy too. I need to run some chrono numbers. Very curious.Nice work. Can’t go wrong with a 85. Crow
Agreed. I neglected to take any. Next time...It would have been nice had you included some before pictures......Those Weihrauch are purdy and nice shooters.
Thanks Max!Great restoration and shooter. Thanks for the information on the cocking shoe scenario. Attention deserved!
I was not aware that the "new style" shoe was a direct replacement. I took " new style " to mean that is was specific to newer production rifles. I installed the original design. Sounds like I may have to do it again one day. When mine failed in my R9 it was the old style and it broke and got wedged in the cylinder and spring, thus the rifle would cock, but would not return and was stuck in a cock position, The newer cocking shoe is more robust.
I never pulled off the stock so I haven't been in one yet.Could have been a bent shoe, bent cocking arm. Nothing else comes to mind at the moment.
