When I got bored on my upstate property i would shoot long grass or dandelion stems from a good distance. I miss that property.

We are fond of that kind of shooting too, and have on occasions pruned a little dead tree down to limbs left that required more than a few shots from a .22 to cut a branch.
My friend have a bunch of trimmed branches laying around, but now we do mostly use those as kindling for our R&R sessions around the firepit with a glass of single malt in the hand.

I do that regularly to trim branches out of the way of my targets lol. Or shoot groups in leaves and then cut the stem. So many ways to have fun with an air rifle!

MY range is on a slippery slope so air gun trimming is used often sometimes even when not needed hahaha

Hmm. That appears to be poison hemlock your shooting there. If you've children or visitors that don't know their plants that stuff is best sprayed or burnt off. Depending on what stage of growth they are in the younger plants can be confused with wild carrot and wild parsley thus they are a danger to folks that forage for greens.

Queen Ann's Lace is all over the range. Big tall plant with a bunch of small white flowers on a thick stem. Perfect airgun fodder!

I'm pretty certain that is not Queen Annes Lace and because of the flower and the leaf is another plant Poison Hemlock is confused with.Queen Ann's Lace is all over the range. Big tall plant with a bunch of small white flowers on a thick stem. Perfect airgun fodder!

The poison Hemlock is significantly taller than QAL and the main stem of the plant is purple/green/white in color in mature plants, hollow, and rather juicy. One of the most poisonous plants there is.

I made sure that all the plants on the range are Queen Anns Lace. No poison plants allowed on the range. Still fun to shoot!
