Worst part of it is that once a cat’s loyalty is earned it’s owned. Dang springer never gives it away. Most aggravating piece of metal and wood ever concocted. And I love em. I need help. My kids would agree.

I have the field pro model, scope only. Also maybe shoot on irons and see if that helps between gun/ hold issue or scope/ mount issue ..
Are there recommended torque settings for the HW95 stock screws? This is an excellent tip.. I shoot almost the same using the same principles. The only difference is I place my left hand palm up under the forestock. I lightly touch the front stock screws with my thumb and pointer to maintain consistent placement. There a million great springer tips pinned in this forum.
I will add that the HW95 while an excellent gun it can have issues nobody could shoot it well. Some of these are loose stock screws, barrel droop that causes irregular lock up and scope issues. Then there's excessive dieseling of assembly lube. There's a lot to sort through but they're great once you get it figured out.
According to Weihrauch its 22.1 in lbs on the front stock and rear trigger guard screw. And 44 in lbs on the front trigger guard screw. Are there recommended torque settings for the HW95 stock screws?
Thanks,

Do you have a barrel jag? Had fits with my HW35E even after removing bad muzzle brake, checking screws, clean ing, chrono ing, etc. Finally wrapped a patch around a barrel jag and pushed it through. Bam! Will shoot with anything I own.Group size shrank using the artillery hold but with only a partial left hand, it's not easy to shoot off a bag that way. I guess I'll have to be happy with MOC accuracy shooting bottles and cans @ 25 yards. The alternative is it sits in the corner growing rust.

Thanks, much appreciated.According to Weihrauch its 22.1 in lbs on the front stock and rear trigger guard screw. And 44 in lbs on the front trigger guard screw.
I recommend 20 inlbs on the front stock screws. I've had the wood crush just at 22. I only go 15 inlbs on the rear trigger guard screw. It's tiny and much more than that can distort the trigger housing and cause issues. 44 is fine for the front trigger guard screw.

Yep it's all a learning process. I've been pretty happy with the accuracy of my Weihrauch rifles. I've been letting the gun design determine my hold. Single front stock screw guns I would position my left thumb and pointer on the pivot bolt ends. On two front screw guns I'd place the same fingers on the side screws. This way I always had the same hold. It’s been a long hard road with my HW95, but I now understand what it wants.
I tried so many different holds. For me it comes down to grip pressure and a smooth trigger pull. The trigger is better than anything I have seen.
My gun likes a firm grip with the trigger hand, and a little snug to the shoulder.
When I can repeat the correct hold, it doesn’t miss. I practice a lot of cold shots throughout the corse of a weekend. It’s a wonderful rifle…but it took me a long time to figure it out.
My HW30 needs to be held loose, it likes no shooter influence.
I get a little less than an inch @ 25 yards. My smallest groups come from JSB light weight 7.33 gr match pellets. It should shoot an inch or under at 25 yards. When you get everything worked out it should be half inch at 25 yards with the right pellet. Don't get discouraged yet.
No jag, just thick string trimmer line that was heated/flared to.160 and cotton parches cut to size. Kroil is the bore cleaner I use. 7or 8 patches w/ Kroil to remove the black fouling and then 2/3 dry patches. The patches are tight enough that they squeak going down the bore. I push them through from breech to the muzzle.Do you have a barrel jag?
