Tuning i need help with a Diana 34 classic T06 trigger

Now it won't shoot. It'll cock, and I can release the trigger manually.

Worked fine until I screwed it up. Adjusted the trigger to death. I've not been able to reverse-engineer my work so far.

Anyone care to hand-hold me through repairing/adjusting it? I'm sure it's just getting the trigger system back in line.

Thanks for any advice!

Not sure what you mean by release of trigger manually..........Decock?? It will cock but not fire , yet it will decock.

There are three adjustment screws, the very far back rear one behind the trigger blade is the actual weight of pull.
In the actual trigger blade there are two more, the front one deals with only first stage travel. The second rear one deals with the existence or not of a second stage. It is a very touchy trigger to adjust and must be adjusted with the sear cocked. Almost a requirement to adjust with stock off and access to sear and cock it , make a small adjustment, fire, recock adjust and so on.

So first run the very back one behind the trigger out quite far. This will insure a heavy trigger weight and also reset of sear to catch and fire. Just run the ones in the trigger blade out some and worry with them later. Now down inside the trigger just in front you can actually see the sear. Take a small screwdriver and push it forward and cock it. Now see if the trigger will fire , if not it is the safety causing problems.

Most likely have to take the stock off and access the trigger so you can play with it. With the trigger assembly removed and if it does fire after you manually cock the sear, then it is the safety spring causing the situation.
