I need to extend the scope mount

Scope mount or raiser mount and picatinny-Nato rail extension, would be some keywords what comes to my mind....

I want to raise up the scope for about 12-15 mm and bring it back to my eyes maybe about 45-50 mm.

This 14x50 scope was an internet purchase from EU, the ring is dedicated to the scope tube, and the glass is worth every penny. The L2 arrived only yesterday.

This shall be my setup for training for timed silhouettes.

How would you do?

There are a lot of one piece cantilever mounts out there now. I have looked at quite a few different styles for myself and have even modified one so it cleared the magazine well. I would find a mount that could be machined to accept that dedicated ring and make it fit accordingly. There's also these picatinny rail extensions that are easily modified.

i wouldnt .. not on that gun .. its a nice scope but id run it on something else and not try to rig it ... been there ..

Hello look at the YHM 9473 6 inch rail extension. I use it on the bottom of my RTI priest to extend the rail and it is rock solid. It also looks like it should give you the room you need and goes for around $50 Hope this helps Eric

The most problems I am seeing which side they mount the screw and the nut on opposite side = cannot come where the stock is folding

For the 2 picatinny rail extensions you linked and just by counting the open picatinny slots towards where the rear of your scope mount would be mounted, you should be fine with the stock not interfering when folded.

tell us how you like the 14x

my 10x is great but still a little shaky standing unsupported, better now I added a better head/eye brow support 

one of the reasons besides the size and weight of these is the third point of contact that is now working good but 10x is pushing it without a better support

would love to try that silly looking tri aim (sp?) device. It looks like a great addon for these optics just uk only it seems

I've got used to big power scopes, on my Impact I have the Falcon X50 mounted. At 50 meters I am using x25 and at 100 meters dialing it in all the way to the ring I don't want to see anything around the ring on the paper. This why I chose this IO 14x50, and it is a single power = prime lens, way better then any zoom in the price range.

What I don't like adding raise supports, more connecting parts, each to be just for a hair out of specs and I am ending up with a scope out of barrel alignment. Will see, my parts arriving after the weekend.

I think the immersive mounts have a little wiggle room but tightening them while aligned could be a challenge. Lucky you can awing the stock out of the way to lock down after holding scope in proper alignment. 


If you ever get a solid head/eye point of contact try Shooting offhand.


I noticed the videos of the guy selling the optics and using one on his L2 that it lokked like his eye never was close enough for full field of view. He was using the 10x40 and looked like he could slide the scope back more in the mount but I think he likes it as is and the wide field of view might not be needed for him.
Either way great optics and a smaller size where one can afford and then sell for little loss if it does not agree with them.

Fortunately I have 3x more scopes then airguns, this holographic can eventually work, but a flaw with a scope.

I have not used it for a while and realized only when I replaced the battery - I have mounted in opposite direction.

The buttons on the side are very F finicky, even keeping it in a box, to have the box laying on a side, just a slight touch on the buttons turns it on = drains out the battery.

amazon order arrived, the length looks about right now, but I still prefer a higher cheeckweld, the other - higher mount is arriving tomorrow.
