Originally I was going to start this post and title it something like "Groups shot this morning at 50 yards" but I see Ted's and my efforts were nearly identical so I'm going to ride his coat tails a bit haha. Hope you don't mind Ted! (besides, you got yours on camera, I'm asking everyone to just take my word for it haha)
Of course Ted was using his Impact, I am shooting my Royale 500. Also, I think he's shooting the JSB Heavies, MKI and I was shooting the regular JSB 25 kings so not totally the same. I can't get the Heavy MKI's to group so well in my gun but I'm not knowledgeable enough about regulators to be able to adjust the velocity in my gun like he can to try different speeds for accuracy.
The group on the right is 31 shots. I shot the first two shots at a completely different spot on the cardboard just to make sure the regulator was "bedded in" or whatever you want to call it after filling the gun. My old Royale used to need a couple of shots to get up to velocity for some reason. This new Royale doesn't seem to have that problem but old habits die hard I guess so maybe with time I'll learn to trust the first couple of shots.
The next 31 shots from the three full mags went into that one hole on the right. I have three magazines so I had them all loaded before hand so that I could keep my hold and line of site on the gun while switching mags so as to not affect my POI. I was going to attempt 40 shots in a row, but after sitting up from the gun and filling another magazine, I figured there might be a chance that easing into the shooting position again might yield a different hold on the gun and change my POI. So I chickened out and shot the 4th and last mag into the hole on the left. In retrospect, it looks like I would have been able to put all 40 shots in the same hole, but I'll take it none the less!
Anyway here they are! One of these days I'm going to get a camera setup for proof so that when I make posts like this I won't have that nagging voice in the back of my head telling me that half the people reading this think I'm full of crap lol
I would hope that all the posts I've made about guns that I can't get to group well would give me some credibility that when I find one that does, I'm telling the truth. ;-)
