Silent, deadly, accurate. 120yds is easy peasy for the K1 in .22 and .25

I would not buy that one.

I had one in my hands and the fore hand is to close to the bore of the barrel. Easy to shoot you in a finger.

You should rather go for a FX Panthera Compact or a BRK Ghost.

If P-3 gets the green light consider checking price @ Krale (Netherlands.) P-3 is only RTI offering to US customers at Krale. They offer considerable savings on AGT, not sure with P-3, but worth a look. WM

If you do not mind to have 28 shots per fill, the very best alternative for your money is the FX DRS 600 with the super powerful plenum.


It is powerful and the accuracy at 200 yards of that rifle with slugs is above every other PCP I know.

Two I am interested in the Uragan or Taipan, not sure if they check all boxes. I’m looking at the Uragan for $1400.
A lot of positive posts on here about the various Taipans

I'd honestly take the Krait (WX>X) or the Uragan 2 /3 over the Prophet 3. I've had all three and worked on several more of each. I still have a uragan 2 and a krait WX.
The main shortfall on your specs is the lack of a direct foster fill on both and the absence of an externally adjustable reg on the uragan.
Despite this both have far better ergonomics than the P3 as well as better regulators overall. The uragan 2/3 reg is very easy to get to with virtually no disassembly. The lightly choked RPB barrels can be a great deal more fussy than the unchoked CZ barrels AGT and Airmaks use and I've generally been able to achieve better overall performance from them.

All the guns mentioned in this topic are good guns but will fall short somewhere. Shoots pellets great but a never ending search for the right slug. Shoots a slug good but picky with pellets. Shoots both great but is 27 feet long. You may have to own a few “box tickers” before you find one you can live with.

that was my first thought too, except for bottle, foster, and simple...still my top recommendation but i despise bottles so i am biased.

Yeah, I usually prefer bottles, but given this gun fills to 350b and you can tune on the fly, a bottle isn't needed, which is why I recommended it. Otherwise there is no other gun lol. Specially given how efficient the valve system is. You can get a lot of shots if not tuned for high power.

I don't know about the P3, but if it is anywhere near as good as my original Prophet Performance it will be a great choice.

I went through lots of reeading and research before I decided on mine and it has been good enough that I have not had an urge to attempt to find anything else.

I have owned and still owned some of the guns discussed. And a bunch that haven’t been discussed here. Seeing as how you don’t want to go through 3-6 high end guns in your quest, and I don’t blame you, I can’t make a recommendation. I can pick apart most guns. Take your time and talk to guys who own your choices. Long time owners, not honeymooners.

I just got a raw mini chassis. 22 a few days ago. So far I have no complaints, it's a sweet rig.
