I was going to brag about my Primary Arms PA4-14 scope;

It is clear and bright and has good controls,fact is it is a nice scope. That said, the eye box is not as forgiving as I am used to.I will get used to it,it is just something I have not given much thought to before.
I'll go online and check out its specs and see what the eye box specs are....
I am curious if other people have noticed that some scopes are less forgiving in terms of eye placement. It is a lot better now,

@boscoebrea Decent budget scopes. IR can be a bit brighter than I’d like. I have one currently mounted on a Huben K1. I haven’t paid much attention to the eye box on my scopes. Once a scope is mounted and I shoot that gun a while, I tend to have feel for what to expect. If it sucks, I’m taking it off of the gun. What in particular bothers you about the eye box with this scope?

Eye box at high magnification is real! I've noticed it at times when shouldering or on sticks or a makeshift rest; not so much at the bench because it is easy to stay direct behind the scope there. Common magnification ranges coupled with tube and scope size lead to either better or worse eye box and you'll see the trend of likes or dislikes based on size, regardless of quality.

My eye needs to be centered more, like more parallel to the center of the Ocular lens. I think of the eye box as the distance from the eye to the ocular plus how centered it must be.
I have yet to use IR.
Ring height, comb height, and cheek weld all play into that.

I like my PA 4-14 too. It is on my P35-25. I use 6X for pesting and don't turn it up to 14X unless shooting from the bench. So the eyebox has not been an issue. I really like the thicker reticle of this scope which permits me to use it at lower magnification. I find it visible at 4X.
It's one of the few scope makers that actually understood a scope in this mag range with a thicker reticle is a good idea. Yeah FFP reticle that can be used well on low magnification.
