My first thought was a Chupacabra as well.
May have been another Raccoon, I've seen the results of some their senseless carnage. Had a couple kittens torn apart on my deck a few years ago. Decapitated one and just left it there while the other somehow managed to get away after one of its front legs was twisted around backwards. Security cameras showed coons on the deck. Kind of a dick move IMO.

My bet would be on another coon. Whatever it was, wasn't terribly interested. Anything bigger would have drug it off id imagine.
