Being I’m 66 going on 67 I asked my wife what the hell is this “woke” thing - she printed this out for me.
The problem with words that don’t have a proper definition is the interpreter is left to their imagination. I thought woke meant lazy and expecting others to do the work. Apparently not.

That is a nice term for woke, However, I used the term "woke" in a derogatory manner towards Disney. Disney is a great example of a company that has completely lost my trust and went Woke. Disney used to make great movies. Thirty years of excellent family value movies. Now their movies are filled with leftist social values and LGBQTRSVXYZ views and ideologies. I do not trust them any more.

Could not agree more. I will no longer watch a Disney movie, unless it is one of the older ones. My wife and I used to watch the Hallmark channel on cable TV, then they changed, to much LGBT watever and interracial romance.

I got into the more "exotic" PBs while young because I wanted something tough enough to take being in a tractor cab. The number of guys on PB forums who got into tacticool from games is astounding.

your use is without webster dictionary definition? As such it is a personal interpretation or application based on your political and religious (or not) views.... as were mine. Now if i have a problem with something i don't use a vague term like woke... I come right out and specifically name the issue. Just me. Interesting how language morphs over time with cultural shifts.

if you read the thread - i didn't bring it here... it was first referenced in a vague manner by the person i was responding to (not you) your definition is without literary merit... it is simply "your interpretation" of a currently used catch all word to describe things ya don't like... well i don't like em either! So lets get back to what matters - airguns! Peace out.

Thought - Just my opinion here.

There is a general level of disenchantment on all sides, in all venues, in our western society. The use of weakly defined terms, by all sides, allows such disenchantment to be focused and channeled. But, it does so without really dealing with specific issues. It relies on crowd mentality and psychology to operate.

It is just a way to get folks on the "join me" wagon in extolling how "life sucks, anyone not with me is evil/unjust/unfair/etc." There are few evil others, save as we create them with rhetoric. Life is complex, frustrating and frought with contradiction. Best we learn to live with it.
