Ideas for Tank to Gun Hook up

Hey guys Im looking for ideas on how to create an adapter from a standard SCBA cylinder to gun connection? Im new to the PCP guns have only seen what seems to be items in a very high price range. $70 plus dollars seems like a lot for just an adapter from bottle valve to hose. Or even more with a cylinder valve attached. Or am I wrong. How have you guys gone about this? Looking for a cheaper alternative even if I assemble something. Maybe from the paint ball community?

I did just glance at the ratings, seems to be rated high enough ( cant trust all print tho ) , lowest price I've ever seen - too good ? -.

As others have said 4,500psi will kill.
Many paintball parts , even IF they attach to a "4,500psi" paintball carbon fibertank as paintball tanks are regulated said parts are okay , for PAINTBALL ONLY.

i have been looking on ways to cut corners on spending as well. I have a 98 cu ft air venturi tank and love it , I also have a compressor. i lucked out and got an entire breathing system with an aluminum tank that should hydro test ok for quite a long while. I looked at valves and was going to go the cheapest route until I realized that the valve on the SCBA tank was made to run with a regulator and is way to high flow for PCP fill. The best think is at airtanksforsale.com. Joe knows his airgun science and has what you need to as safely as possible store and transfer HPA

Very true IF you are trying to breath it! 

Not all valve s are the same but pretty much so if working correctly. I once had a scuba ( 3,000spi) that has a valve SO touchy IT could be used as an airgun, could have swaped it out but it was a 3,000psi tank and I was just careful.

Out of the 1st 100 scba ( CF tanks at 4,5000psi) I saw used at shoots perhaps 3-4 had the "slow flo" and 2 of those had bad arthritis , all had purchased from the same place.

Be aware of what you are doing and no regulator or "slo-flo" is needed.


I might ad if lot's of different people or children who should be supervised are going to use your scba, slo-flo valve is a good idea b ut it's just even better not to allow such person to fill.

As long as that unit is as described it should work for you just fine. Looks like a guage by "Shark" ?

Well after waiting near a month for my valve to show from China and needing a couple things to make all work. It seem to be fine. Its not high quality and not the safest piece for longevity. But it will do the job. The gauge is a little off in accuracy and a bit blurred but will work for now as I said. Question being would I buy it again, no. But it serves it's purpose as with being new to PCPs a lot of cash has been spent getting going. I'll probably replace for a better unit as I get more guns and or equipment.
