Identify my powermaster 760

Looking for some info. I picked up this old Crosman powermaster 760 from a flee market for $7. Won't pressure at all, took it apart, appears the piston cup was torn. I'm wondering if anyone can identify the variant of the rifle. Serial number 05825197

I got a 760 out of Dad’s shop. I’ve looked all over it but can’t find any serial number for identification. I haven’t opened it up yet but it looks like plastic receiver, plastic bolt, rear site looks to be attached by two spot welds, plastic stock and fore end. There’s no front sight on it. It won’t pump up and needs bolt replacement. Is there any way to narrow down the date of manufacture so I can get replacement parts?

Hello unionrdr, thanks for the reply.

My unit is a variant 3 verified. Plastic stock (good quality plastic I'm guessing...if such a thing exists lol, probably Lexan , it was used a lot back then) and wooden pump arm. I've found a nicked cup on the piston and the felt is likely in need of replacing as well.

I did the 4 o-ring replacement/maintenance as I had done some 20 years back but no pressure build-up this time around. I've never taken the breech end apart since I've owned it though it looks as if it had been dismantled at one time judging from the scratches...I'm the 2nd owner. I don't think anything at that end could be the trouble anyway.

Do you know of anyone anywhere from whom I can purchase such a beast as the piston assembly #130-59 for this 760? I have had only great service from this gun and now it's my grandsons turn if I can get it running.

Any help would be greatly appreciated sir.

Thank you,
