I found my old Crosman 357. The barrel locking clip won’t hold anymore. It looks like the plastic piece that holds it up turned to mush. Since I need to open it up I want to replace all the seals etc. I can’t seem to find a google image of this exact model with the brass trigger. I bought it mid 90’s so I’m assuming the stamp 97 inside the handle means it was made in 1997. Am I correct? Also where is the best place to buy replacement parts? Should I just order from Crosman?

thanks in advance

Since the 1970’s (I don’t remember the exact year they started doing this) Crosman codes the manufactured date in the serial number of the gun. The manufacture date would be the first 3 or 4 digits of the serial number. For example 112 would mean it was manufactured in January of 2012. 1297 would mean it was manufactured in December of 1997 and so on. So I don’t think the 97 stamped in the frame is the serial number.
