If you could design your own PCP...

Don’t know how it would all fit, but probably a beefier slightly longer huntsman based .25 cal that could achieve 60-65 ftlbs and get 5-10 shots before pumping again.

I.e. a marriage of a DS Revere to a Seneca Aspen- but let the British control the parts and ceremony! Sort of a perfect grab n hunt gun. It would only be interesting though, if the on board pump didn’t fail on short notice:). I think there would be a market niche for the Huntsman Freedom- but if only for me that’s my vote....

I would build :

Tensioned barrel or big ass fat barrel, multi smaller transfer port.
No air tank on rifle as i shoot bench tethered.
Proper rail under barrel that go all the way to very close to the muzzle, for any bipod attachment system and weight adding.
NO silly side rails.
Easy access to regulator / regulators and hammer spring adjuster.
Build in adjustable bag rider.
Foldable stock for minimal transport size.
Long scope rail on top.
Easy readable ( from shouldered position ) gauge for regulated pressure. ( possible Bluetooth enabled gauge )
Standard grip format, so you can mix it up if you like.
Fully adjustable trigger.
One color only ( Black )

THat Rohm was a gun I almost hated?! Especially the double action weight and feel. Mine wasn't very precise either. Anyway I just had to vent a bit, lol.....

I want a pcp built just for reliable plinking up to medium distances, maybe if I keep mentioning this someone will see the value of it.

Anybody know what the Browning takedown 22rfr is?? Here is it below.

I want a semiauto slug shooter that looks similar and keeps with this slender and lightweight form factor.

Attributes -

#1 Made mostly of steel and brass and offered in basic to exhibition grade packages. Excellent Build Quality of course!

#2 Air reservoir hidden in the buttstock.

#3 Slugs in a tube fed system under the forstock like many of the old 22rf's stacked tip to end with a simple and rugged elevator system like those old 22rf's used to have.

#4 Yep a shouldered barrel and threaded into the receiver.

11 fpe is fine, shot count doesn't need to be huge, just a fun, reliable, and precise plinker made like a rifle should be made.

SURELY already does the trick for me for a match rifle! So does my USFT as far as 20 fpe rifle.

Another idea I have is having a duplicate of the feel of the action of my Anschutz 1827F biathlon rifle which is how a TRUE biathlon action should be! As well as a stick magazine feed system in it for slugs.

Edgun might be coming out with a Fortner-ish action design but not much news about it.
I'm unsure about the magazine system but probably only holds 5.
Probably low power in the 6 fpe area.
Likely more of a biathlon trainer which is fine but would rather have high capacity, more power, and a stick mag for slugs.

I still want a little pcp air rifle like that Browning take down.
Maybe even using round lead balls instead of slugs but slugs would be cool too.
A pump or a lever version would be neat as well.

Heck I'd settle for a funky looking little pcp built around a 700cc bottle with the attributes of high capacity, round lead balls, high shot count, mid power, but high build quality.

Some well equipped smart guy needs to make these and hurry up will you because it's been 4 years already!!! C'mon get after it.

There are so many good PCPs already that I don't think it would be worth the trouble of builing somethin new and then having to work the kinks out.
But If I were to design my own, it would have to be simple, reliable, easy to maintain, with a nice trigger. Easy caliber changes would be great too.

A simpler solution would be do design a good tirgger to go in my AirForce PCP. The rest is already there.

Funny you are asking because I've been putting my list of preferences together now for sometime. And have all the stuff to start machining it. Not interested in a light weight rig. And Keep it simple like a Beaumont or DZ Sinner
1: Heavy custom .223 cal barrel threaded into a mono block Stainless Steel action
2: 3" wide flat bottom stock that fits my rest nicely, Or maybe a chassis with an Arca rail to put a 3" wide base on.
3: Only a Plenum tube and to be a tethered bench gun
4: Simple poppet valve. 10 way adjustable hammer, valve, Bla, Bla is for the birds. build it for one purpose and forget it.
5: Side Lever cocking same as the Sumo actions I built with through the bolt transfer port.
6: Quality, fit, finish and feel like a Perazzi shotgun.

Rifle: .22 FX Crown Mk2 with a Weihrauch HW110 trigger and wood/laminate stock

Bullpup: .22 FX Dreamline PowerPup with a Weihrauch HW110 trigger and wood/laminate stock.

I‘d also be happy with the above using a Daystate electronic trigger.

Then I’d have guns with FX smooth twist liners and nice triggers.

Even better, all my Dreamline barrels and mags could be used on the Crown.

Röhm Twinmaster ticks some of your boxes, I really don't know why it fell of the radar, it is beautiful made and can be modded in a number of ways, e.g move the back sight up on the frame and change the grip to make it look like a S&W double action revolver

did I fire 5 or 6? - who cares, got 8

No, but you can put in another one because..

Yes

Single and double action

Big fail, but trimming the reg. and hammer spring and adding a longer barrel could help a lot

No, but 2 screw holes on top of frame

Fail, not from the outside

If I had the resources I would have a pcp built that was based on the classic lever action 30/30.
It would use the lower tube as a reservoir, and the user would load 10 slugs into it in the same manner the powder burner is loaded through the side. The slug tube could be a small tube that nestled between the air tube and barrel.
It would be all blued steel with brass hardware, would have a fine quality wooden stock and would have open sights as well as a picatinny rail. Blued steel barrel threaded for a moderator.
It would be designed to give 10shots at the optimal velocity for whatever slug was determined to be best suited for the platform. Say 850-900 fps with a mid 20’s weight .25cal slug. Barrel twist would be optimized for that particular weight slug at that particular speed.

The rifle could be cocked and uncocked with the hammer as well. All functions would work as the original 30/30.
That would be my personally designed pcp rifle and i would live happily ever after with it in the squirrel woods.
mustang lobo is close.. but not available in the USA..I tried..

I had a rifle that was close..parco 22 foot pump survival rifle.. parco is the name of the company if sold in the Philippines..farco was the USA import name.. I had a friend bring it from the Philippines.. about 20 shots between pumping and it was powerful.
