Once a FX rifle decides to work in a team with you and meanwhile you do not screw it playing with the tune, FX become a very accurate rifle.
Here it is a group I just made at 88 yards with my FX Panthera Compact Hunter .25 Cal.
please take into consideration that:
1.- I am just a hunter, not an EBR shooter;
2.- That I shoot from a rest I made and that I do not use a bipod nor a bag in the rear; and
3.- Groups like these can be made all day long except when a defective pellet (I do not sort pellets) gets into the magazine:

Maybe I read it wrong. My bad if so. Another gun the op may like is the AGT Vulcan 3 or uragan. I have an M3 and love it, but it requires far more effort in the long run to maintain due to all the orings.

FX seems to make quality products. But they are definitely not everyone's cup of tea. Also, some people don't want to devote the time into fine tuning their rifle to work optimally for their ammo. Once they are tuned for the preferred ammo they seem to shoot great. There is a reason people are using pantheras in competitions against conventional firearms

Basically any Weihrauch will make you smile. I'd skip on the HW57 (I have a good one but they are hit or miss). If you want low power that R7/HW30S that was mentioned is amazing for 30yd shooting and even farther if you really want to push it. The HW80, HW90, or an HW95 are all great choices as well. If you prefer to shoot from a bench the HW97K is fantastic as is the Air Arms TX200.

Everyone has an opinion on what gun or manufacturer is best. The rest of the setup is the really hard one for me to research and decide on. A lot more goes into effortlessly owning and using an air rife than a traditional rifle. Compressor and / or bottle recommendations or other items you can't live without?
I have always had the mentality to buy it once and have it for life. First shotgun: Benelli Cardoba. First tournament paintball gun: Planet Eclipse SL8r. Still have them both 20 plus years later and they both perform flawlessly. Quality over quantity every time. Also hate buying something just to replace it in the future with the thing I should have just bought the first time.

Well you can look at it that way but personally I look at it like at least ihave the ability to fine tune to a certain ammo most guns either shoot or they don't there is no fine tuning available or very little personally I would rather have it than not it's kind of like with a centerline either you find a factory bullet that shoots well or you hand load and then you can choose any specific thing you want to do and make your gun shoot excellent obviously its your decision to make but just trying to throw some knowledge nuggets out there lol

I have 4 fx rifles two crown mk2 and two m3 impacts. I didnt have to tune any of them out of the box to get stellar accuracy with pellets. I did tune them all for fpe I was looking for and made sure they were tuned for efficiency as well. I also own a daystate hi lite, bsa r10 mk2, bsa scorpion se, air arms s510 carbine and I have owned many other pcp rifles. I had to do exactly the same thing to all of those other brands and models as the fx rifles to have an efficient shot cycle. If I want to shoot slugs in any of them I will have to do allot of testing and tuning to get the best performance with any of those rifles and some will never be accurate with a slug no matter how much tuning. So in my experience I have not had to do anything to my FX rifles out of the box to shoot pellets very accurately. Tuning is only required if you want highest efficiency possible and that goes for any pcp I have ever owned regardless of brand.

As I’m still working but nearing retirement, I’m more time limited than budget limited… like most hobbies, you can’t buy the fun… the journey of learning and sharing is the fun…
… that’s why I’m here learning and sharing with other enthusiasts on AGN.

That is not quite correct,.....I shot several mongoose ( same size of a squirrel ) with .357 at around 200 FPE and the result was the same as a .22 with the high shoulder/neck shot or the brain shot.
That kind of sentence is one more of the very missleading wifetales swirling around in the airgun world.

.....the best .22 lr you can get with a stamp for a suppressor.
Can shoot subsonics as quietly as any PCP and then can switch to hot rounds if need some juice.

I shot a lot of .25 and .30 caliber FX rifles at targets and you need a lot of air. I got a Daystate Coltri compressor (which is a real scuba compressor). Which made everything much more enjoyable

I like a lot of guns bullpup and traditional style. I think if I had to do it over. I would be rifles no bullpup for both hunting and competitions. Probably raws,red wolf and Thomas I'm not into switch barrel guns.

I do have a beautiful .22 but, unfortunately, no suppressors legal in NY. Airguns are the exception and pellets wont fly as far in the very unlikely chance of an accidental discharge in the wrong direction. Plus, a suppressed airgun from inside through an open window sounds like a great day "hunting"

Ahhh okay then,......I'm big on rugged, reliable airguns with little frills and few things that could go wrong.
If you go back years the 2 guns that I've seen the least complains are the old Taipans and Huben, both are really powerful and pretty quiet even before you ad a LDC on.
