Daystate If you had the bucks for a daystate?

I'm thinking a Daystate AphaWolf performance 25 or 30. Probably a 0db target kit airgun silencer ( LDC). WHAT LENGTH BARREL, CALIBER, would you prefer. Is there a different style you prefer? Caliber preference? I like bullpups. Have an FX and R5M. Both 25s. Was looking at 23” barrel currently. I like the laminated stocks. Have the R5M on a bumble bee laminate from one of the board members. Thanks my friend. It looks quite exotic. What do the conniseurs of PCPs think here ? ¿ ? Don't be afraid to spend the other Guy's money here. OK Thanks and Be Well Brothers, Bandito.

Would be an alpha wolf in .25 cal. If I ever did it it would be right now seeing they are 2600 bucks at A of A. Only time as I would never pay daystate’s jacked up 100 bucks when no one else did retail price. I have an epoch and have to say I love electronic guns. Takes most of the work out of tuning.

This , over the electronic gun.

I have the bucks for a $2000 air gun.
I would still not spend that much for this hobby.

There are plenty of $300-$400 air guns that are close enough to a $2000 air gun.
The cheaper airguns may need work, but even the expensive ones need,

My most expensive airung is a .22 Zelo which cost under $450.
Very accurate to my farthest target (70-80 yards) assuming there is not much wind.

I am not sure how that can be improved for plinking purposes.

With a 32.3 grain Boat-Tail bullet shooting 1/8 inch groupings at 50 yards. Instead of a pellet... Where can I get that for less than 2000.00?

I appreciate your views brothers, but now I am confused. I can't afford to buy a mistake then get less than half price for it when I replace it with the right one? Wellll : as I said, Patience Grasshopper. Heed my own advice I guess. Keep up posting your opinions and advice please. Even if I disagree it helps me form a plan. It will take me a few months to gather the cash. Maybe a Brocock will show up in these classifieds here, which I am not allowed the free speech to comment in. I will make my comment thusly, my Dad flew in B25s in WWII, survived multiple crashes, my son, a special ops Marine in the late 90s. I think my own family has paid for the first amendment. And now back to our regularly scheduled airgun programming. Be Well Brothers, Bandito.

If electronic is your cup of tea really I would recommend Skout. Made right here in the US, amazing customer service and part availability. Weight is really their drawback right now. If you are into hunting mostly there are some concessions you are making for sure. Even the evo when scoped is probably going to be north of a 10 lb rig.

Having just bought an Epoch and already owning an Alpha Wolf (it's the other way around in the UK, the Epoch is the expensive gun) I would have to say the Epoch is the better gun.
I’m curious as to why you feel this way. Being an epoch owner myself with zero daystate experience. Never even seen an alpha or delta wolf in person.

Have owned 4 Daystates ... All came to me second hand being acquired at a fraction of MSRP :p
MK3 in .20 cal, Airwolf in .177 cal. Airwolf in .22 cal, Redwolf in .22 cal .... ALL ELECTRONIC's
Added to this 2 clones being the BAM 50's ( Huntsman ) both being .177 cal ... Mechanical's (y)

All these years later still have the Airwolf .177 that was converted to .20 cal and one BAM 50 in .177
The rest sold off or gifted to family.

In my situation not sold for reasons of quality, power, esthetics or accuracy.
Just found other rifles that were more flexible or appealing to play with as I leave nothing stock or unfiddled with :cautious:

I have woke up many days saying I think I’ll finally order an Alpha Wolf. But I don’t. I look for certain things when there is a gun I want but do not need. When something goes from a flash in a pan to more factual, I’ll click the add to cart button. With this gun I have not dove too deep out of fear of finding the data that makes me order one. The next fear is if it does exactly what I want it to do, it’s getting put to work in the woods. Do electronics like big temp swings and the elements? Or will I wind up with an expensive queen?

As far as Scout goes, they are currently out of my electric gun considerations. When they build a gun that doesn’t need to be mounted on a turret in a truck to hunt with, I’ll consider one. There is a lot of emphasis on gun length in this hobby. A short gun that is too tall, wide or just odd is far worse than a comfy ergonomically correct gun that is just a little too long.
