I'M DOWN TO 2 (I think)

After weeks of research and still several weeks to go before I actually purchase, It comes down to these 2.
Daystate LC110

Alpha-Carette

The actual "Coltri" MHC6 (high dollar Daystate) 4 stage with all the whistles and bells is $2700.00. More than I want to pay.

I am leaning more towards the AC fully loaded which would be cheaper $1699.00 than the Daystate $1895.00 which requires additional filtering. $300.00?
(All compressors at this price point should have the required filtering included!)
The AC can be set to different pressures, Daystate can't, Purge can be preset, Daystate can't, AC is slower but that is not a big deal for me.
Amperage draw on the AC will run on a 20amp breaker, Daystate would require a 30amp breaker.

So that's where I am this week! LOL

I vote for the Daystate. It’s a “real” dive type air cooled 3 stage compressor. I’m pretty sure it has a filter/moisture separator and it runs in a 115vac 15 amp circuit. Yes, the AC has automatic blow down. Other than that for an extra couple hundred bucks you get a compressor that will last for 20 years with annual oil changes. To me, it’s the difference between an FX Crown and a Marauder. Both will do the job but you know which one is higher quality all around.

I have the carette and I am very happy with it so far, what centercut says about the daystate is something that has been in my head since I made the decision to get a compressor. I've always run on "you don't get prime rib for hamburger prices" motto, so far I will say that the AC has had no issues, it really does it job well but time will tell, the daystate was just more money than I wanted to spend but if I was doing this all over again I would go prime rib.
