Any suggestions for a bullpup in that same-ish price bracket, but with the side lever being more in line with the trigger?

Kral designed and manufactured all the Craftsmen series of guns for Benjamin. Reximex is also made by them. Apparently Kuzey are, and I'd think Kervan arms are closely related.

Kral valve right Kuzey left. The Kuzey valve unscrews like the Kral bottle guns.

block, hammer, and trigger are different as well. Rear exposed hammer spring adjuster and 2 piece block. Actually a little easier to mod the Kuzey. Much better trigger on the Kuzey compared to the puncher breaker. Similar on the rifles.

I ordered Reximex, Kral, and Kuzey direct from the factory and all the orders were placed with the same person. I am with near certainty that Kral is the primary.

That makes sense. I have a Reximex Daystar and a Benjamin Cayden and they are extremely similar with many parts interchangeable.

I'm with 99.9% certainty they are keeping them separated but same ownership of all three. Not necessarily one owns the other.
