I’m moving to Sacramento - Anyone got a place I can shoot at?

Hello there. I’m moving to Sacramento (more specifically Carmichael) this Friday. Sadly I will rarely be able to go to Diablo Gun club as I usually do.

I was curious if there are any areas near the Carmichael area that I could shoot at. Anyone got land? Anyone know a guy? I shoot springers and I’ve got an FX Panthera.

I am familiar with the Yolo county range and the Sacramento Valley shooting center…but those are pretty long drives from Carmichael.

YOU WILL HAVE TO DRIVE!!! Sacramento county does not allow shooting of spitball in your yard and so are most city ordnances within sacramento county.

We have monthly field target and long range matches at SacValley shooting center, many people shoot springers at the FT matches while panthera will do great at the long range matches. Come on out and join the fun.

What’s the process of signing up and how much is cost? What days are the shoot and what time?

PM me with your email and I’ll forward it to the FT match organizers to add you to the email list. Match fee is $20.

The long range matches are on range 6 every second Saturday of the month. Here is the link:

Calendar – Sacramento Valley Shooting Center

Look for 6-FD Small Bore Silhouette every second Saturday morning at 8:30am. Match cost is $20 also.
Range 6 is amazing and one of my favorite, these are private ranges and none voting members can’t shoot there without being brought in by voting member or during a match. We have steel out to 500 meters or 550 yards.
