Hi I'm new to the group. Just bought my first PCP gun a Kral Puncher Bigmax .22 cal. So I've learned quite a bit by making mistakes already. My question is, I bought pump and the quick connect fitting does not fit my gun. I think Kral uses a different size than most guns. So I wanted to put the Kral fitting on the end of the pump. I took off the old fitting. It looks like they used some kind of liquid cement on the connection. I was going to try teflon tape but am not sure that is good enough on these high pressure systems. What have people been using on connections? thanks

If it was sealed with goo originally, it's probably 1/8 NPT and should be fine to use tape. Just try to clean off all the old sealing compound first. Use the tape liberally and do it up tight but don't over do it. Check for bubbles with soapy water and if there are any, nip it up a bit at a time until it stops.

Some of the female Foster QR fittings have one o-ring inside others have two. They probly used locktight on fittings the blue stuff seals good and comes apart easy so I use it instead of the Teflon tape. Some fittings may seal on a Teflon or Delrin washer in the bottom.

No. If they are NPT threads, they will be tapered and probably won't be able to be screwed all the way to the bottom anyway. You may be able to use a Delrin or nylon disc type washer as a seal if you have one and both the joining ends are flat, but Teflon tape should be fine.
