You can get out of the lower tier stuff and get a Daystate Revere. AOA has them on sale for $899.

What's your beef with the Revere? I've had two of them, one .22 and currently a .177 unregulated. The OP said he was looking for a .25. These are the most nicely made rifles on the market and WAAAAAY above the quality of Umarex and others of that ilk.

When I was new back in November I saw that sale and figured it’ll be different to get a 25. My reasoning was cause it’s not a 22lr. Anyway I ordered it and then researched. Bad idea , as was pointed out on this forum. But I let the order carry on.
The 25 caliber is not well suited to the Revere. You have the 177 and 22 . Unregulated shots would start out 150 fps low
rise to max and fade away. I didn’t like that inconsistency so purchased and installed Huma regulator. Ok after many ins and out adjusting reg and hammer have to settle on 11 good shots on regulator with I think 25.39s. Thats at pretty low speed . I don’t have my notes. I’ve even considered changing to a 22 barrel but this is 1/2 the price of the gun.
The corroborating evidence is out there that predates my experience. It’s now my designated backyard out the window squirrel machine.

Have you looked at a Macavity Arms MA2? Another option with a lot of bang for the bucks, $499 I think. I'm not personally familiar but things I've seen & read Have me curious about them.

Umarex Zelos and BARRA 250Z each less than $500 and sho0t 1/2" groups at 50 yards, easy fun guns to shoot.

I havent had too much luck with my hatsan, I have seen alot of good things on AEA any reason particularly you dont like them

Yeah the Hatsun has a reputation of poor quality control. Some people love them, but there are more than a few that will never buy another.
AEA I have mixed feelings about. I own 2 myself, a Standard Challenger in 22Cal and a Bullpup Challenger in 25Cal. They are designed pretty well, nice and simple and the build quality is good for a budget pcp. The accuracy is hit or miss, most of them do pretty good, but none of them keep up with the higher end barrels seen in other manufacturers. The trigger and mags are the weak points in the design. You can get some aftermarket mags now that are far better. The AEA rifles are also really heavy compared to other manufacturers. Overall they are good, but the problem these days is there are better options for the same or less money. If you just want to blast holes in some cinder blocks or plywood the AEA are great. I found them a little tricky to adjust down low enough to shoot lighter pellets well. I am planning to sell both of mine soon once I can get some time to check them over, havent used them in almost 2 years. I think I paid about $500 for the 22Cal as I got it new from bintac with the optional regulator, which was working amazing but seems to have failed now for some reason. I got the 25Cal used for like $385 I think and it also has the optional regulator which also seems to have stopped working, cant get the rifle over 35fpe. It used to be double that lol.
I think the Stoeger/Snowpeak options are better in every way. I have a few Gamo/BSA rifles that I also consider far better than anything AEA but they are considered a little weak now, only 20-25fpe. And the Avenge X is also something I would buy before another AEA. And when you look at the more expensive AEAs; they get into FX, Taipan, Daystate, territory and obviously that doesnt make sense.

I don’t believe he has a “beef” when @blackdog899 was looking for a Revere he was warned away from .25 in that platform. It is more suited to .177 and .22 as he found out. Because he did purchase it in .25 and was not happy…
