Hey everyone, I hunt here in SW Florida with Air Rifles, Coyotes, Iguana's Coons, whatever. I Love PolyMags! And Slugs.

Has anyone done a trigger upgrade to their AEA HP TD? Mines a .30 cal, and the trigger is way too heavy. I know how to polish a trigger group, but has anyone tried lighter springs? I cant fing ANY info online. I lOve the rifle, I hate this 5+lb trigger. Ever firearm I have has a superb trigger, I am a trigger snob. Please advise!

You could always try a smaller or lighter weight spring. Just keep the original in case you need to go back.

Give it a try and see what happens..... worst case you just revert back to the stock.

That is what Ive been thinking, lighter springs, but where do I look for them? And how would I know if they are lighter that stock springs before I buy them? Any ideas? Thank you.

I would take the trigger apart and look at the springs. Then just look around and see what you can find, pen springs, mechanical pencils and things like that. There is always a hardware store to walk down the isles and see what you are able to find. There may not be any specific kits, so go wild.

What are your "old school" guns? Just curious. Never owned or shot an AEA but from all I've heard on this forum, don't care if I ever do. 5lb trigger would drive me crazy! Adjustable? The spring recommendations sounds like the thing to try if it's already adjusted to it's lightest setting.

If you are a trigger snob and dealing with a 5lb trigger use the box for returning it.

Welcome to the forum Coyote Slayer. Lots of great information here from mostly friendly folks.
I agree with the lighter spring advice, and yes, pen springs or similar might just work.
