American Air Arms Image of new AAA Evol???

One of the banners on HAM shows what looks like a possible version of the new Evol:

This is DEAD SEXY!!! I really hope that this version is released. I just called AoA and they insist that Tom is only releasing the version of the Evol with the MOA barrels that look like ratchet extensions... what a bummer. I'm sure it will perform great, but I just don't like the looks of it. If I'm spending that much on a new rig, it also needs to look good!

Here is a pic of the new version. This MOA ratchet extension shoots amazing. Took me to 5th in Sportsman never shooting an EVOL and Claudio won the Pro Division. It’s a very good looking gun in person with the fluted barrel.

Actually, that doesn't look bad at all! That's not the version that I saw. The other picture I saw was a mini that definitely showed the barrel looking like a chrome ratchet extension. See below:

looks like it is /was a pistol with longer tube and barrel and an added butt .

The mini would look better with a full thickness barrel, but Tom designed it this way to be Hunter friendly.

Who is telling everyone in a couple months is it the distributor or the manufacture. I know in most industries you loose credibility after awhile and then they question everything that you say.
Not sure at this point what information is reliable or not, but Tom has posted some dates over on HAM.

The haven't been any EVOLs in the retail chain for well over a year now. I've been watching the development of AAA with their move to AZ and the SubMOA startup. I personally wish them the best but @MountainGhost sentiment has been ringing true to me latelly. No sign of a production item, stories and pictures of some proto's at competitions doing very well.

I will definitely look into them when the new HPS line becomes available. I just hope they haven't hurt themselves being away this long.

I love the Evol line and think they are cream of the crop of airguns for my uses. But the wait on them is crazy. I'm not interested in the new line of HPS but the barrel kits, cocking system upgrade and reg adjustment upgrade do seem nice. I wish it didn't take so long but my thoughts are they should be fleshed out once they do arrive.

@zx10wall installed the outside adjustable regulator in my .30 Paradigm and it was a great upgrade. Although you have to degass to go down in pressure, it is still very easy to do and adjusting is much easier to fine tune. I added the plenum upgrade myself and now with the external reg adjustment, I'm only lacking the new hammer system and - of course - the subMOA slug barrel assembly to change with my existing barrel!

I just visited AAA before the SHOT show... he had a PILE of HPS and EVOL receivers sitting on the assembly bench and bins full of parts along with a few assembled ones. Seems like the holdup is the barrels but I may be incorrect... they had one of the barrel making machines break and were wating on parts from the manufacturer.
I really think the HPS is going to be incredible... well worth the wait.
I did get the new easy cocking hammer system back when I fitted the 177 barrel to my EVOL and it's a good improvement though cocking a Ghost side by side with it, still more effort. Personally, I would prefer a little effort to give up some robustness or durability, so I'm fine with it.
