I was having an accuracy issue for the longest time and I couldnt figure it out!! My barrel set screw would always loosen I just never really thought it was a big deal and just over looked it as being my accuacy issue. Well I was completely wrong I put some thread tape on set screw it don't move a bit now and my accuracy is back and better than ever!! I'm so happy!! I have 50 barrel set screw orings showing up this morning I'll switch over to that when they arrive. But here a 15 shot group boys!! Awfully windy this Morning!! What are the barrel set screw orings? I have noticed on my 30 cal that my set screw loosens up. I never checked the group sizes when that happens. Your video shows it does make a difference. Thanks for the information

I have also made the mistake of my shroud touching a rest when I shot. Talk about having fliers in that condition wow.

I keep on reading instances of this thumb screw coming loose. Seeing as how I really want an impact, it bothers me. Just a thought, has anyone ditched the thumb screw and replaced it with just a simple coned set screw. Hat way you could properly torque it with an Allen wrench. If you wanted, you could even use a low range in / lb torque wrench with an Allen bit and have the exact same torque every time. I would bet this would solve the issue many are having.
