FX Impact and Panthera Safeties Opposite

Got my Panthera today and it’s bad ass. But I noticed that the safety is opposite the safety on my Impact M3.

What I mean is on the Panthera, the gun is safe when the selector points forward, and on the Impact, the gun is on fire when the selector is forward.

Why the hell would they change that between the two guns? I suspect it has something to do with the bullpen vs standard design, but that’s annoying and it couldn’t be that difficult to make the Panthera the same. The Impact safety is correct to me; selector toward the target for fire.

The Mk1 and 2 had safeties that were the same as the Panthera. I personally think that makes sense and the MK3 safety is dumb.

The panthera is the correct way. Its faster to thumb the safety down to fire than try to thumb it up to fire. The panthera matches AR-15 design for the safety position and thats the way the impact should have been.

Now that I think about it, you’re right! The Impact is wrong.

My Crown is the same as the Panthera.

My 2020 Impact MK2 the fire is up same way as the Pantera.

Personally, I wish all safeties were like the AR15, push down to fire like the Panthera but with the lever on the left or better yet reversible from left side to right side. At least put it one way and leave it there.
