Has anyone installed this on their FX impact. I am curious if it used in conjunction with the huma 2nd stage reg could a 300 bar tank could be used.

Also if used is there a more consistent airflow and shot count increase when using slugs.

I wouldn't put 300 bar in an Impact, the first reg is why you can run up to 300 bar. Any reason you'd run an Huma? They seem like cheap aluminum regs.

I used it on my m3 while I was working on the first regulator. My 2nd regulator is a factory amp and it did just fine. I only filled it to 250 bar, no problem.

The gun is designed around a maximum 250bar working pressure. Simple.

I installed the huma reg because it works at higher pressures than the factory reg. I was just curious because a 300 bar 700cc bottle would yield more shot count.

I'm honestly not a fan of the dual regs. When throwing slugs and using a lot of air, it doesn't take long to drop off/ below the first reg setting.

For your situation you would be better off to delete the first regulator. The regulator delete is made for power hungry slug shooters.

I am thinking with the reg delete, it may yield an additional couple shots, even at a 250 bar fill because it has solid back pressure.

You can shoot down to your set point on the second reg I do it all the time it falls off the first second reg doesn't change till you get down to it's set point 2 regs aren't using more air either so a delete just puts all the stress on the second reg just my opinion I like the idea of running 2 regs keeps the second one more consistent less creep

In my experience, the round slows 15 fps or so as soon as it falls off the 1st reg.

My guess is the pressure to the 2nd reg isn't as consistent then.

I have my 1st reg at about 190 bar now and it was previously at 200 bar. 2nd reg around 165 bar. Last week when I was testing my new mods out I went up to 182 bar on my 2nd reg with 200 bar on the 1st. When I dropped below the 1st reg setting a velocity loss was noticed.

What are you shooting? Mine is a 35 cal and I was launching 93 NSA's near 970 fps at one point.

25 cal and 30 cal have done work on both and ran them down below first reg with out a drop I wouldn't think dropping off the first reg would cause that the plenum is still filling to the same pressure

U running a huma for second reg ? It wouldn't hurt it any to delete the first one it's worth a shot to see if it takes care of your problem

Maybe I am shooting too fast at that point and not allowing enough refill time? I was just testing velocities with different pressure setting. No tuning for accuracy or consistency was done.

Either way I ordered the 1st reg delete. Too many o-rings in that thing and the plastic piston makes it worse.

I just upgraded the 25 I was working on had fx send me some brass pistons for them he shoots slugs at higher pressures and first reg was all over the place and his accuracy went south to changed them out added a carbon fiber sleeve and set them back to where they were originally and he called today and said it's shooting very well with 43.5 gr slugs at 930 fps

That was M3 with the first reg at 175 ish and second at 150 with a heavier hammer in it

Interesting, so you are saying I can call FX and get a brass piston for the 1st reg?

Yeah, I can probably push the 93 grain NSA's into the 980 range, if not 990 range by messing with reg pressures and varying weights of hammers. I would also imagine over a 1000 fps is possible if the restrictions in the power block are widened slightly to match the dual transfer ports size better.
