Impact M3 first stage of trigger gone?

The first stage on my Impact M3's trigger is no longer working. It stated by 'somtimes' having a first stage, not it just doesn't work at all. I prefer to have a two stage trigger. What would cause this and what is a possible fix?
The manual shows an screw location to adjust the first and second stage, but then states if you adjust it, you void your warranty??????

You need to adjust the trigger. Impact trigger is not very good by design but it works if you adjust it properly.

My thoughts as well, but it's strange that FX states in their manual that if you adjust it, you void the warranty.

I adjusted mine remove some of the first stage, I'm no expert but maybe try to back it off some
