Impact M3 Help needed

I have had this 2nd Hand M3 for a little bit now. BOTH 1st and 2nd Regs read the same psi. I wanted to set the 1st Reg to 150, but when I did, the 2nd Reg also read 150. Wierd? I thought so. Took bottle off to degas system, and it bled ALL the air. Didn't think anything of it and proceeded to lower the 2nd Reg psi. Low and behold, bottle back on and the same damn thing! BOTH REGS AT THE SAME DAMN PSI !! (Lower now of course)....WTF OVER? No matter which reg I adjust, seems to affect BOTH equally. Am I doing something wrong, or is there something deeper involved here? Any help at this point will be greatly GREATLY appreciated...

Also, since messing with the 2nd reg, it seems my trigger assembly is out of wack somehow. When it is cocked and the safety is on, the trigger does not spring forward slightly as it should, and when it is hung back in that position, as soon as the safety is flicked to fire, the rifle goes off without a trigger pull. I will try to post a video tomorrow of what I mean as its kinda hard to describe in writing.

Was it like that when you bought it? Or was it working good and something you mess with cause it to be like that? If both reg are the same that means your 2nd reg is damage and need to repair. Could be as simple as replacing oring on the reg to replacing the reg piston or adjustment screw. Try pulling the 2nd reg out and look for damage oring. Replace them. If still doing same, may need to try replacing piston. Then replace the adjustment screw. If still happening just replace the whole reg. As for trigger, it's something to do with the adjustment. Try looking on youtube there are videos showing how to adjust the impact trigger. If adjust too far you will get what you described. Such as gun won't cock, safety doesn't work, or gun firing when flipping safety.

I recently bought an M4 new that arrived with the same problem. I was told the regulator needed to be replaced. It has spent more time out for repair than time shooting. It is out for delivery today with the third regulator. We'll see if that fixed the problem. I just find it a little difficult to believe that two brand new regulators were faulty. But if that is the case, what does that say about FX?

Wait, doesn’t the M4 have only one regulator? Do you mean that the regulator Is bypassing and pegging
the second gauge?

The above also applies to your case

Sounds like the first owner did a number on the gun then sold it. Personally, I’d just replace both regs. Some guys just can’t stop playing with them because they can’t achieve what they see on YouTube. After the regs are good, you’ll have to undo what he did to the trigger. All that requires is some time figuring out the balancing act with all the trigger screws.
