FX Impact M3 Question??

I used to own one but never really ran the upper limits of it. My question would regard .25 caliber. In complete stock form (hammer weight and spring) what is the max reg pressure it will operate? IE the max reg pressure the stock hammer and spring will over come and still run consistent numbers ?

Depends on your barrel length. A 600mm barrel 160b was not a problem with my one .25.

I believe I’ve heard not to turn the regs passed 170. I think 170 on the rear reg would be close to the upper limits. And that would shoot just about any slug over 1000+ fps out of a 600mm barrel. Mine is 500mm and shooting 18 grain over 900 fps on 85 bar rear reg.

Pretty sure a stock impact won’t work well on a 170 bar. Pretty sure up there you need internal mods.

You have any experience with a compact? Just curious where the energy limit would be on a stock .25 500 mm with 33.95 pellets?

I have a 500mm .25 also. But I never tried shooting a 34 grain pellet with my reg set at 160b.

Assuming you have the correct weight stock 25Cal hammer weight; I think you would max out on hammer strike around 140Bar.

My MK2 has a slightly heavier Huma weight and spring and I can probably go up to about 160-165Bar. But like was mentioned above you cant really run that high on a stock M3 anyway. FX says the Gen 1 AMP regs should not be set higher than 150-180Bar which includes the front reg. (Depends on what literature and which pcp you reference)

I don’t know on a .25 but both of my 22 cal M3’s were tapped out @ 145-150 bar with the stock hammer set up.
I would think the 25 should have a slightly heavier hammer weight in it. maybe it gets to a higher plenum pressure?
