With the long list of EBR podiums credited to the Impact platform (not necessarily the M3, though), I was quite surprised at how much mush there is on the second stage.

Don't get me wrong, it's on OK trigger...for a bullpup. But certainly not what I was expecting given that podium pedigree. Not match-grade by a long shot, IMO.

So what are you all doing to get a cleaner break?

Another "fix" is a lighter return spring.
Cutting...the original spring may cause the trigger to NOT come back into battery if you remove too many coils. But the use of a slightly long spring of a lesser compressed load, you lighten the trigger load, AND the trigger will still properly return into is rest position (battery).

It depends on you level of ability on tuning triggers..
Also the tools you have access to.
Here is what I did to get my M3 trigger light, smooth and breaks clean.
Also if I advance the trigger to the 2nd... I can back off and the trigger will return correctly!
No Manual resetting.

The Impact isnt really a full on bullpup imo. The trigger in particular is more of a traditional setup and engages directly with the hammer/sear systems. There arent any long rods or linkages to cause slop issues like found in your typical bullpup. My Impact has a terrific trigger. I have some match time and consider it "match grade" for whatever thats worth. Sounds like the trigger you have tried is not adjusted well.

I love my M3. I love most everyone about it. The weight is a bit much. The trigger is disappointing for an air gun that costs north of $2K.
I worked on mine for hours. Back and forth, take apart and put together several times. Finally gave up on a two stage trigger and settled for a single stage. It is pretty good, but I would have preferred a two stage. I just got tired of messing with it.
