Boy oh boy, I was the first to critique their move towards 2 regulators to band-aid their flawed regulators and try to sweep cold shot from balanced valve o-ring break out friction under the rug...did they address that? Probably not...

"Continues to improve" may be true, but for them to take 5 iterations (the first impact was not an MK) to still be behind in several ways is rather eh...

Increasing plenum from 72 to 75 cc is a joke...wanna see how much it helps? A 500mm barrel shooting 22 cal 25.4 at 140 bar will make around 49.8 fpe at 72cc, increasing to 75 cc takes that to 50 fpe, a whopping .2 fpe or 1 fpe increase...

The above increase is superficial. Many of the updates are past due, and to see quite a few issues not addressed means...mk5

Nice to see a company that is continuously upgrading its products rather than just sitting on it's laurels milking an old design for every penny. It costs money to design, manufacture and market a product - even a new variation of an existing one. Thanks to FX for incorporating the innovations even if they are not "earth shattering" ...we could still be looking at the original MK1 and doing all the mods ourselves.

Major changes break "backwards compatibility" and are for new models (like the Panthera series), nice that FX has kept 3rd party accessory compatibility in mind for those who want to upgrade from an earlier Impact.

Myself, I'm perfectly happy with my Impact MK2, it does what I need it to and I see no need to rush out and buy the latest and greatest just because it has been released.

Bonus that the MK4 includes some nice improvements for those looking for a new airgun.

As I saw in the video comments, I expect to see the whinners and complainers posting how the Impact is an inferior product and FX is just trying to gouge people out of their money. To the whiners, nobody is making you spend money, if you don't like the product - go somewhere else.

...No, I'm not an FX fanboy - I have a couple but shoot mostly Weihrauch and Feinwerkbau airguns.

Cheers!

Utah Air had both the .25 and .30 available in both Copper and Black colors earlier.
1 hour later.....SOLD OUT ON ALL 4 models!
WOW!
What was the price? I looked last night and couldn’t even find them listed ?

Edit…found them and hey bravo to them for not hiking the price 👍

Not sure why some people place polarity or healthy discourse in such negative light. Your paintbrush needs work my friend. "Whining" is often warranted and brings to light a group of peoples dissatisfaction where, if the company chooses they can attempt to please that crowd, such as the removal of the added 2nd reg. If everyone sat around agreeing on everything and praising everything without a single question posed, without a single critique, without a single disapproval, well then wouldn't that just be honky dory?

Frankly, I find it weird to 'shoo away' people having opinions that don't align with your own.

Check out Utah's web site now.
Less expensive than many other so called "top tier" brand options.
They had some in stock an hour ago, but they have already sold out!

When I checked a bit ago you could get a 22, I forget sniper or standard, and a compact 177. Probably all gone by now. Yeah good job on them keeping MSRP the same. I just sold my m3 and bought an epoch. I do like the epoch but really not as much as I liked my impact. If they had released this a tad sooner I would have waited for a new m4 for sure.

People who can't take an honest critique of a product's shortcomings are what I call fanboys/fangirls. No one is whining, we're just calling it how we see it.

If FX was truly innovative, they would have made a Bullpup design with the Dynamic block. Increasing the plenum to 153cc and increased barrel rigidity. Who cares if the previous model's aftermarket parts aren't usable on the new model if the new model brings in significant performance!

The M4 is what the M3 should have been all along, and no copper coloring is gonna change my opinion.

Agreed whole hearty Matt, there is noting wrong with constructive criticism and raising warning flags if there's a legitimate reason.

I've worked in design, manufacturing and QA departments in large and small companies so I have direct experience in those areas. I know some of the considerations/problems for bringing a product to market and will understand and try to explain to those who lack that kind of perspective.

On the other hand, ranting for the sake of ranting has no purpose and I have little patience for it. Maybe you could say that I'm exercising my right to rant against rants :) I respectively suggest that you read some of the video comments (rants) to see what I am talking about.

For example. I've had several very bad experiences with Chrysler vehicles and dealerships, that was 40 years ago and I have voiced my displeasure by refusing to buy their product. In spite of the fact that a friend of mine was killed (burned alive) because of a improperly routed fuel line and lack of corrective action from the dealer, I don't go around bad-mouthing Chrysler. That was a one-off misfortune and my personal opinion of that company is likely dated. Many people like their products so there is no point in me ranting about how bad Chrysler is (in my eyes) and I would be expected to told to shut up if I started to. Fair enough.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions but I think they should be reasonable on how they express them. Audi and BMW cars are out of my budget but I don't stand in the showroom and rant on how they are overpriced compared to my Kia... I would be expected to be shown the door.

So I say, if you have a legitimate point or comment (positive or negative) or caution, then please share it.

If you just want to just rant and vent then please do it elsewhere. I don't think that is an unfair request and from numerous examples, it is justified.

Just my 2 cents.
Cheers!

Any deals on M3s still in the pipeline?
