Looking for a quality moisture separator and I’m not fond of the Amazon cheap nor want to pay 4 hundred for one at hpa air . Is there a solid middle ground cost unit?
I cannot add much to this other than to state that a water coalescing filter requires a bit of flow and I doubt it would add much to a hand pump. I have used exactly this combo on YH pumps and downstream there appears to be no discernable moisture. I do have a much more expensive dive quality compressor and it uses a similar drying chain. I have not heard of spontaneous made in China filter explosions but am very circumspect about that and bought filters that were highly rated and recommended by others here. Some endcaps do not seem to capture the o-rings adequately. The water coalescing filter really strips an amazing amount of water off.Generally agreed best set-up is $125 (eBay) water-coalescing filter followed by $60 (eBay) molecular sieve. HPA compressors, like Yong Heng, can manage, other designs, might not. If only allowed one, I'd use water-coalescing, does a good job of bulk moisture removal, molecular sieve is more of a finishing touch. WM
Double check fitting sizes, recent thread noted Chinese compressor and Hill filters don't share compatible fittings. WMThis seems reasonable.

Hill uses 1/8 BSPP, I suppose you can use male 1/8 BSPP nipples on the hill and connect to it using quick connects from whips.Double check fitting sizes, recent thread noted Chinese compressor and Hill filters don't share compatible fittings. WM
IIRC, member purchased Chinese compressor/Hill filter Combo on a Spanish website that sells Huben and was wondering why the fittings didn't connect. I'm sure there's ways around it but figured good to mention this up front to anyone considering Hill filter. WMR

Something like this….approx how much time does it add to a smaller (say gxcs2) compressors fill time ?
I just googled them and no problem getting into their site and navigating around. Maybe something chaqnged in the links? Here is one you could try: https://nuvair.com/products/filtration/hp-elements+1 to Worriedman's recommendation of a coalescing tower to remove the bulk of the moisture then feeding into a moisture filter that uses desiccant beads to remove any residual moisture. Obviously this is only recommended for use with a compressor and not for a hand pump since the coalescing tower requires rapid air flow to work properly. There is no indication that the OP is referring to a hand pump.
Since it is mentioned in this thread, is anyone else having difficulty connecting to any links for Nuvair? I get invalid response messages whenever I try to access their website. It's been that way for a very long time on any computer I use.
This is the route I took as well. I just got my parts in this week and have the double tube tuxing upright filter-the short version and have an extra tuxing brand canister filter for some “polishing action” just using it for the first time as we speak and it’s amazing the amount of moisture I’m getting out of the first bleed valve. None from the second, and the third assembly has no bleeder. But it shouldn’t be seeing much (or any) moisture if it’s working correctly.+1 to Worriedman's recommendation of a coalescing tower to remove the bulk of the moisture then feeding into a moisture filter that uses desiccant beads to remove any residual moisture. A lot of the Chinese units come with extra bead packs…how good they are, I can’t say. What kind of desiccant beads do you guys recommend for using in the refillable cartridges?
