Benjamin Indexed transfer port adjuster for the Akela?

The Akela transfer port adjuster is a joke, a bad joke.

There is no way to be sure you have it set to any position and have it stay there unless it is fully open or fully closed. And it tends to leak if you adjust it at all!

Does anyone make a replacement that is INDEXED and doesn't leak ? I don't even need it to have a lot of indexed adjustments, 2 would be fine. High and low.

3 would be better, but then I digress.

Does such a thing even exist?

Thanks! My last post today as I am exhausted... especially waiting for AGN to accept my posts! (heavy sigh)

I can browse AGN quite easily as long as I don't log in... (heavier sigh)

I have a american tactical Nova liberty 22 from airguns of Arizona.. it's got the high and low transfer port.. never had trouble with mine.. but I also don't have any use for the settings.. if you go from low to high the point of impact changes.. so I just leave mine on high..
being a machinest, well I'd probably figure out a way to remove it and plug the hole so it's just a wide open port.. I'll PM you in case you try taking it apart and need help with anything..

I have 3 ATI Nova Freedoms (the same as the Liberty, but with the self-contained pump) and the POI shift is because when you use the low setting you lower the pressure that reaches the pellet, therefor, you lower the FPS. If I recall correctly, my Freedoms in .177 (the .22 never worked correctly) on the high setting with a pressure of 2900psi, the fps was ~920 and on the low setting it was ~750fps.

The POI shift is solely because of the lower velocity and that is as intended. I ended up using the lower setting most of the time for my pesting even out to 50 yards. The .177 Freedoms were tack drivers providing me with at least MOA if not better out to 60 yards.

Unfortunately, the onboard pumps in the Freedoms made me give up on them and move forward. If Duy Dinh still made the poppets and bottle conversions for them, I might be tempted to rejuvenate them that way. (smile)

I also made PVC moderators for them that worked VERY well. Hair curlers, washers and Scotch pads... (smile)

Hope that helps!

All my best and thanks for the reply!

yes that's what I thought too.. you might look and ask around because some have the Seneca Aspen.. pretty close to the same, and they had trouble getting pump parts but as I remember someone found a after market place..
I didn't like dealing with change of impact so I just left it on high since I usually either shoot long range or moving target.

Seneca Aspen, same gun. Never read about other sources for pump parts, but did read about using double o-rings to replace the o-sleeve that disintegrated and caused many other problems.

ANYWAY, now that is out of the way, back to the original purpose of this thread!!!!

if you send me pictures of it and possibly disassemble it and picture I can probably give you a solution.. but I don't know what it looks like inside since mine is just high low.. might be as simple as a o ring under the knob for tension.
