Indoor 50’ BR @ Meeker Sportsman Club, Marion, Ohio

Our 2023-24 Indoor Benchrest League will begin December 3 and run every 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays, December through March. Doors open at 2:00 PM and match begins at 2:30. Cost is $10 to cover targets, heat and electricity. This isn’t a sanctioned event but just fun matches for much needed trigger time and lead therapy during the cold winter months ahead. We have 6 benches and we shoot four NRA A36 targets @50 feet. It’s open to any 22 Rimfire, .177 and .22 air guns. We will limit entry to the first 18 shooters so you will need to email or txt me to reserve a bench.

Yesterday we were booked with a full house of 18 shooters. However there is a bug going around Ohio now and we had 6 cancellations today so I hope those guys get better and the rest of us avoid it. We also had a new shooter join us and he said he will certainly be back. Congratulations to Jeff for his second straight win in the pellet class and also to Rimfire shooter Diana for her very first and well deserved win.

First off, you folks have a great looking indoor range. Now second, hummmm, from those scores it looks like the "fun" you spoke of has a serious tone to it also

Welllllllllll @ThomasT Some are more serious than others but we do have a good time. Diana put a whoopin' on the RF shooters and she sure likes to rub it in too. Its all in goof fun though.

Just curious how do you handle the scoring?

We manually score each target with a .224” OD plug.

What I meant to ask was that do you have a single official score keeper or do you trade targets and everyone gets in on the scoring?

We have 2 or 3 people who score and we never score our own targets.
