Inexpensive hex key set

Cheap hex key set from Amazon. What is interesting about this set is that it includes some odd sizes, such as 7mm, and all the way down to 0.7mm on the metric side. I cannot speak to the quality of the material, but "it works." The keys do not have ball ends. Even so, for $14 shipped, I have nothing to complain about.

The reason why I bought this set is that the GK1 end cap needs a 7mm hex key.

i find cheap sets strip out at the small size's but ok for the large . 2mm and up .
I have a cheaper large set and top brand small /very small set .
I know what you are talking about! I can use a micrometer to check the exact sizes of the smaller ones, or just feel the snugness of the fit if I ever need to use them. I already have a set of small keys from 0.7mm to 2mm for match trigger adjustments.

Best set for the money. These guys make them for Snapon. $32 for both.

I was a touring tech for a paintball gun manufacturer and his pro teams in the early 2Ks. We would tune, repair and service literally hundreds of guns over the course of a season and pretty much all of the fasteners were socket head cap screws. I learned quickly that the bare minimum quality for hex wrenches that you could rely on was Eklind or Bondhus. My good friend Terry who brought me aboard, was using a set of Team Loki titanium nitride coated hex drivers and I bought a set on his recommendation. These weren’t ball end, but they were precision ground from drill rod and refused to loose their sharp corners no matter how much they were abused. They would grip the socket inside of cap screws that had been rounded out so badly that other wrenches wouldn’t grab. I managed to break one once, but I never wore one out and still have them 20 years later. I know that they were rebadged with the Team Loki name and would love to know who the manufacturer was. For ball ends these days, I’m loving Wera.

I still have a set of the Team Losi. Purchased 20 years ago. Not bad, but the MIP's is a step above.
