U.S. Veteran Steve Kirk Uses Breath-Triggered Gun at Wheelchair Games 1980 skiing accident left U.S. Army veteran Steve Kirk with a dislocated neck and little use of his arms or legs. Almost forty years later, Kirk was competing at last week’s National Veterans Wheelchair Games. Kirk took part in the air rifle competition thanks to a gun that is triggered by his breath.

Steve Kirk is also the President of the central Florida chapter of the service organization, Paralyzed Veterans of America.

The adaptive equipment that enables him to compete with air rifles was apparently designed for him by the Orlando VA Medical Center.

Now if they can just get the prices down. Medical adaptive devices are crazy expensive. Trust me I have looked at a lot of them in my time. I always end up building my own.
