To install a Harris style bipod to the removable tank cover, drill a #21 hole 1/2" to the rear of the two small screws that hold the two halves of the cover together. That will locate the hole through the metal piece that the Gauntlet sling swivel screws into. Relieve the hole only through the plastic cover enough to allow a standard sling swivel stud to clear. That keeps from trying to push apart the two halves at the seam. Tap the metal piece through the plastic hole to fit the sling swivel, normally its 10-32 tpi. Then just screw in the stud for the bipod and install the stud nut inside for additional strength. If the end of the stud inside the cover hits the air tank, cut part of it off so that it clears. Simple 10 minute job and you are ready to attach your Harris style bipod.
