When I was building rimfire rifles, I always suggested to people to use a Benchmark barrel as I always had more confidence in using them as compared to other brands but most people would go with the Shilen ratchet or the Mueller barrels, not that there is anything wrong with those barrels but I always liked the Benchmark barrels the best. Here's a short story of the best shooting rifle I ever built, I used a Benchmark barrel with a Stiller Trident action and a Lidgard stock, I built the rifle for myself, when I got it done I took it to the club I was shooting at to test it out. There were a few members there watching me shoot it and not bragging but I shot some killer cards with it that day, just practicing, not in a match...one of the guys there asked me if he could take some pics of the rifle and the targets I shot and I told him go ahead....that night when I got home, I got a phone call from a guy in SC, I can't mention his name but he told me his friend sent him some pics of the rifle and the cards I shot and he wanted to buy my rifle. at first I told him it was not for sale but he insisted he wanted the rifle and money was not a problem....needless to say, 3 days later I got a cashiers check in the mail and the gun got shipped to SC...LOL and the weird part is, I never heard from the guy again and never seen his name listed in any matches after that.....Benchmark barrels are one of the very best barrels made period!!!!! There is no competition this is a far superior barrel to any FX or TJ barrel no offense.... Benchmark barrels has many world records with there 22 or barrels.... In the past for powder burners I probably bought 10 Benchmark barrels.... All shot great cleaned up perfectly.... Interior finishes smooth shiny beautiful machining Marvel.. Best of idea for a more accurate FX!!!!!!!
