Installing regulator in fx royale question

Recently bought a used royale 400 that was supposibly regulated but after crony testing I decided to open it and look . guess what ?
NO reg !!!! Still a great shooting rifle But if it can be better why not do it :) ,,, my question is are there other mods that need to be done when installing the reglator ? I understand and know hammer spring also needs adjusted. But that's just some trial and error and Crony testing . I've done the mods and reg install on my hatsan at44 so I feel confident I can do it . just can't seem to find much info about doing the fx ? Any help would be appreciated..

Just install the reg and test to find out what's the highest speed you can achieve by adjusting the HSTA and take 2 full shot string and see what kind of ES you getting if you like what you see you can drill the vent hole or leave it along. If you remove the reg the gun will still be functional if you drilled a vent hole it will be functional with a reg only.

i been testing the reg without a vent hole on 3 Ranchro for a while now? if the reg isn't leaking it will operate normally, if leaking the reg will not regulate or the speed will be vary inconsistent and that's the only indication you will have without a vent hole.

with a vent you can see minor leak but still functional or A
major leak that will dump all the air, without a vent the reg will just lock up and not regulate.

Hope that help, if not PM me again
