Yesterday I ordered a HW30 Black. Today I knew I was doing a run into the city. That means a visit to AGS to score a scope and rings. Got another Element. Love these scopes. I ask the owner if he had any springer I couldn’t resist. This is what he pulled out. Luck is on my side today. Right place right time, I think. I’m not at all familiar with this pistol but it looked like quality. Gave it a new home. I hit two targets on my range at 30 yards, nice action. This is in mint shape. All I know it’s a Feinwerkbau and it’s 20 years old at least.
I have a few Weihrauch pistols and I have to say this one is so much easier to shoot.
Can anyone shed some light and tell me any thing about this springer?

I had the 65 decades ago. Can’t tell if that’s a 65 or 80. Weihrauch never made a pistol that’s in the same league as that one. If it has the original piston seal it will need replacement. I think they were gum rubber. If memory serves. Do not use chamber oil as it will ruin the seal. They are expensive to work on to. BUT it’s worth it. They are incredible pistols. Congratulations!

Nice going Crow. I probably would of pulled the trigger on that one too. It just looks like it's very accurate and very well made.

I don’t want to sound like an annoying know it all, but these pistols used a metal piston ring as opposed to the type of piston seal most of us are familiar with. And yes, there are rubber bumpers and breech seals that will degrade over time.

Though a bit challenging to work on, there’s plenty of information available via the internet to help give one the confidence needed to attempt a rebuild. I’ve done it a couple of times and it’s not nearly as difficult as you would think.

And to the OP, congratulations. In my humble estimation, you have one of the finest air pistols ever made - they are truly little mechanical marvels.

Phillip is spot on. Great air guns and parts are readily available, they are sort of a small pistol version of the 300S. I have a FWB 80 and it's a fantastic pistol.

The FWB 65 is the first in a series of 3 recoilless spring piston pistols made by Feinwerkbau. The 65 came in 2 variants, the MKI & MKII. Looks like you have a MKI which is distinguished by a longer barrel than the MKII. Later came the 80 with a better trigger system and 3 moveable/adjustable weights then on to the 90 with an electronic trigger and again MKI & MKII variants.

This is my favourite gun find. This is on a sled like the 54 the Breach is generous size.
This is the rearsights.
Is this acceptable or is there an after market sight available?

Crowski, I used mine in Pistol FT(PFT) matches with the same sights you have. I was in the open sight class against match pcp pistols and won more often than not. In Canadian PFT, the pistol must shoot under 500 fps and targets are set from 10 to 25 yards. Amazing pistols. Kicking myself that I sold mine. I want to pick up another one if I get the opportunity and make a carbine stock for it so my granddaughter can shoot it like a little rifle.
