Interested in FT With springer

I would be interested in looking at getting a springer for some sort of FT shooting but dont really know the sport well or the rules over here (I'm British).

I was thinking of a hw97 a tx200 or LGU. I had previously owned a HW77k in the UK and enjoyed it for hunting and plinking. Id be sending whatever I get off to motorhead for a tune either way as I want the best possible start.

Anyone here shoot some sort of FT/HFT with a spring gun?

While MANY have very good luck with HW 97's in .177 caliber .... it seems more have BETTER luck or just like the Air Arms TX-200 Mk3 or TX-200 Hunter carbine or the Prosport models in .177 caliber for the FT game a tad more ???

As a Tuner and One who has shot FT with a spring gun .. I choose & still own my TX-200 Mk3 in .177 ( shoot it at @ 13 ft lbs in the hunter piston class )

Are you using a custom stock? Pic?

Use whatever gun you feel most comfortable and confident with.

If I had to choose one to shoot FT it would have to be my Paul Watts AA TX200. If it weren't for that I would be using one of my HW97K Vorteks then one of my Walther LGV Competition Ultras. I'd Even use one of my FWB 300s or Vortek HW30 Urban Pro if either of them had a little more juice.

Factory Walnut stock .... hunter class set up.

I shot Hunter Piston class at all of our club matches last year and won that class every time. I probably should mention that I was also the only participant in H/P at each of those events. If you are serious about shooting FT with a springer you might want to find out if there are others to shoot against and learn from in your area first. Uj
