Yes I've been down in that part of the state and I remember the first time I saw them giant lizards just hanging out, quite the sight. Ive ridden on the bike trail (forgot name) along the canal and saw hundreds of them just hanging out. Welcome to the forum lots of good folks here .

Thank you! Yeah they're a pretty common site, enough to where if you drive enough you're bound to almost run one over.
