Introducing the Daystate Black Wolf!

$1800 for the base gray is less than M4, and with no barrel issues (real or imagined).
Your reply does not compute.

The base gray Blackwolf in 17'' with a cylinder is $2200. The most comparable FX model would be the DRS Classic in 500mm which is only $999. $1200 less.
The base gray Blackwolf in 23'' with a bottle is $2600. The most comparable FX model would be the King Synthetic in 600mm which is only $1850. $750 less.
The FX M4 bullpup should only be compared to Daystate's Deltawolf bullpup. The 700mm M4 is $2000 the 28'' DeltaWolf is $3200. $1000 less.

Are you kidding me? A mechanical rifle void of their uber expensive GCU and electronic trigger is more expensive than their RedWolf's? They just killed the value of their electronic guns. This sends a clear message that mechanical is better than electronic!
..or the price of the electronic rifles will increase soon.

I think we all need to rebel and not buy any until they slash the price. Supply and demand
Daystate imports so many components from other countries in Europe that Brexit has to hurt profits. Then add the high inflation GB experienced and prices have to go up. The Black Wolf looks nice, but you're effectively buying a version of the BRK ghost. I hope this work out for Daystate.

@Newobby Your correct, it doesn't compute. The 1800 price is in Pounds Sterling. Covert to US dollars and you get $2200.

It's really only like the Ghost in that you can change barrels, dial the power, and it's made by a UK company. I held and test fired them back to back and they're more different than alike. The Ghost is great for offhand shooting, perfectly balanced and not too heavy. It's a bullpup, for what it's worth. The trigger is massively different between these, though they can both be adjusted. I think you can make the Black Wolf trigger very close to the weight of a standard Ghost trigger, but I don't think you can lighten up a Ghost trigger to be as light as the Black Wolf can go.

The Black Wolf is serviceable as an offhand rifle, but it's not as well balanced and noticeably heavier than the Ghost. It's a really great bench shooter though, where the extra weight and length are advantages.

There some posts on the work required to get the Ghost trigger below 16oz. I think Franklink was a key contributer on those. It looks like a serious overhaul. The Black Wolf has potential cost issue IMHO.

Nobody is going to debate the high cost of the Black Wolf, especially me. I still put a deposit down though, because it checks all my boxes except price. I figure the pain of buying it will be short, but the enjoyment of owning it will be long.

I’m looking forward to seeing some side-by-side shooting with a red wolf HP and this new black wolf juice to the MAX. I think there are many many potential buyers out there that are scratching their heads just like you said gone what’s up? Is this black wolf a better shooter than the red wolf? Only time and lead down range is gonna give us that answer.

You could buy 2 other guns for the price of th 28” chassis gun. It getting to the point of being ridiculous you can buy a 22lr and 15000 rounds for less
Yep, you spend that money then your buddy shooting an original Avenger matches you shot for shot at 50 yards . Of course beyond that your toast🥴

Great looking platform-not to blocky.

Not really, I don't know if you have seen prices of good match 22 or even try to find it.
Just my thoughts, but many of us moved away from powder burners just to have the experience of shooting a PCP that was fairly accurate. You really don’t have to spend $3000 to get there. Certainly nice to have a gun at the high end of the price continuum but the majority of folks out there aren’t buying guns for $3000. They’re buying them for way less. And they’re having just as much fun. Having said that another five years of picking up cans along the road and I’ll have enough money to buy some .30 caliber pellets.😂🥴

I have an aversion to adjustable plastic cheek rests, particularly on walnut or laminate, or even beechwood stocks.

I dunno why Minelli does that

BSA, Air Arms, and Daystate are beautiful guns that shouldn’t have those.
Mixing plastic with good walnut is like mixing good bourbon with Sprite.

Mine is ordered in HP .177 with Walnut, 23” barrel with Volumax regulator. In regards to the different hammersprings I have ordered the one that packs max. Lets see when such gun arrive to the shores of Denmark. The dealer weren’t really sure yet.
Curious if Denmark has a 12 foot pound restriction. Your build sounds like a pretty powerful and beautiful pellet pusher

Makes me wonder if the long awaited and anticipated red wolf upgrade is on the horizon. Anybody heard any battle rattle about a new evolution of the red wolf? Don’t mean to pirate of the thread just curious.

No 12 ft/ibs restrictions. All .177cal are free regardsless of power.. From there all calibers above .177cal requires a valid huntinglicence. No caliber restriction or power restriction once you have a hunting licence.

Thanks for the information.
Do those regulations have a lot of non Hunters buying hunting licenses in order to possess and shoot PCP’s with no caliber or power restrictions ?

On the theoretical part of the Danish hunting licence you have to get 36 out of 40 questions on things like the law - species to hunt and i assume their season to hunt and safety.
After that you have a practical test, this is to see you can safely handle a weapon, i also think there are distance judging you have to pass, and i also think you have to prove you can hit something, probably a few clays.
Which is just insane if you want to get a PCP,,, you have to learn shotgun and rifle hunting

After that you are good to go with a licence you have to renew every year to the tune of about 100 USD

I wish we air gun shooters could just make do with the practical test, as there are very little you can hunt with a air rifle here, and this is actually a new thing where as our hobby was shuffled in with the powder burners / hunting back in 2013 by the lazy no good idiots people vote for here.
